We are now seeking a growth-minded Customer Project Engineer to join our team, helping us strategically scale our customer implementations, elevate our customer data automation, and organically grow our recurring, relationship-based software business.
As a Customer Project Engineer, you will work directly with our management team and customer fulfillment team to combine your industry experience in the large employer human resources space with Brain Power Software’s track record of delivering high-quality, simple solutions to our customers.
You’ll love getting to know our customers, who are leaders in human resources, benefits administration, compliance, and compensation within their respective organizations. Your opportunity will be delivering the highest level of data engineering and customer service during multi-year renewal projects and first-year implementation projects. You will build new relationships, listen to understand needs and challenges, solve complex opportunities, and promote the value that our “Simple Solutions for Smart People” provide.

Position Description
Customer Project Engineer is a multi-faceted position that requires senior level experience managing employer data and developing employee communication solutions. Your job requires the ability to think creatively and collaborate effectively with customers and other Brain Power team members.
Your job will require you to fully manage multiple concurrent projects from the planning and budgeting phases through to go-live and defined production support period.

Position Responsibilities
- Customer engagement to determine requirements, design solutions, identify dependencies, schedule deliverables, and promote best practices.
- Hands-on implementation of customer projects using the Brain Power Software tool set so deliverables are on time, on budget, and exceed quality expectations.
- Complete understanding of current and future solution capabilities, and identify future product needs and possible improvements.
- Ownership of daily, weekly, monthly recurring operations to ensure established information exchange and auditing processes execute on schedule.
- Team engagement including next 24 asynchronous collaboration, weekly operational meetings, project demonstrations, project cascade allocations, and agile board management via Zoom and instant message.
- Thoughtful analysis, research, and writing regarding technical and business topics including data exchange, data transformation, data visualization, user experience, employee communication, programming languages, and the Brain Power Software tool set.
- Project Ownership Responsibilities, decision making and action to help customers have a positive, simple, successful experience with Brain Power Software.
- Career learning including completing company reimbursed training courses to advance your abilities and better manage customers, manage projects, and perform engineering work.
- Observance and improvement of all information security requirements.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
- Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn new concepts and ideas
- Work Experience: Minimum 3 Years of customer interaction in a “Software as a Service” SaaS environment
- Work Experience: Professional use of an enterprise software platform to manage human capital, benefits, payroll, or financial information
- Bonus Software Skill: Candidates must demonstrate at least one additional ‘above and beyond’ software skill. Some samples include SQL Database Management, Git Revision Control, Beyond Compare differencing
Qualifications and Skills
- A Customer Project Engineer should have a high school diploma and ideally hold an associate’s degree in business, accounting, management, or engineering.
- A Customer Project Engineer must have a minimum of six years of career experience in a human resources-oriented professional role.
- A Customer Project Engineer will ideally have a minimum of three years of recent career experience implementing software technology solutions for human resources management, payroll, or benefits administration for large employers, either as a service provider or as a customer.
- All Brain Power Software team members are required to have empathetic English language communication in all forms, including written on a computer, verbal in person, verbal over the phone, and interactive on video and screenshare.
- All Brain Power Software team members are required to complete an onboarding workflow that includes background checks, drug screening, and information security awareness training.
